DUI Charge Dismissed in Ferndale

Client was stopped for speeding and failure to maintain lane of travel at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Woodward near Nine Mile. After performing field sobriety tasks and consenting to a preliminary roadside breath test (.12 BAC) he was arrested for suspected OWI.   Read more here…

In this very unusual case, a woman was arrested and charged with OWI drunk driving after her husband, an attorney, made a 911 call to Westland PD following a domestic dispute.  Read more here…

“Not Guilty Jury Verdict with “.16 BAC”

Client was arrested for drunk driving after crashing his vehicle in a ravine. He submitted to an evidential blood draw at the request of the arresting officer and the toxicology report indicated a bodily alcohol concentration (BAC) of .16, which is double the legal limit.   Read more here…

Not Guilty Jury Verdict on “OWI-2nd Offense”

Client was found asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle by an officer at 1:30 a.m. He was parked on the shoulder with the engine running, his headlights on and the transmission in park. After being awakened by the officer, client performed very poorly on the field coordination tests and admitted to consuming alcohol.  Read more here…

Charge of “Disregarding Traffic Control Device and Operating While Visibly Impaired” Reduced to 2 Point Civil Infraction

Reduced to 2 Point Civil Infraction. After leaving a bar at 2:00 a.m., client was stopped for disregarding a traffic control device and eventually arrested for operating while visibly impaired with a .07 BAC.   Read more here…
